IDEA The Alumni Network has united Alumni people who have studied abroad and work for different governmental, non-governmental and international organizations in Azerbaijan with Mobile Student Groups and Student Networks in one Alumni Network. The idea of this network is to reconnect Alumni members with the broader public and especially with the students. Alumni members share their reach network resources and knowledge with the Mobile Student Groups. We believe that sharing valuable information can reinforce sustainable development of Azerbaijani society and state. MISSION To create a common space for interactive communication of the Third Wave ( i.e. information society) generation so we can together use our network to contribute to the sustainable development of our country. We create numerous Mobile Student Groups which have different interests, but we are all united under 6 main principles which are: inclusiveness, non-violence, non-discrimination, neutrality (i.e . we do not support any political leader or party as a network), secularity and solidarity . Mobile Groups and Alumni organize together concerts, parties, exhibitions, forums, roundtables, conferences and seminars on different topics, conversation clubs, as well as other social and cultural activities in Azerbaijan and all over the world. We are interconnected on meta-level and have chosen asymmetric management excluding hierarchy and bureaucracy. We help each other and share information and resources because we believe in the power of the network of our information society generation. We see a lot of potential and new undiscovered opportunities in this part of Azerbaijani society which can reactivate and reinforce Third Wave Reforms in Azerbaijan on a truly new level. Responsibility We feel "Higher Responsibility" for the future of our nation and we unite our efforts to bring this message out in Azerbaijan and in the rest of the world. There is no collective responsibility in Alumni Network, but only individual one. It means that everyone is responsible only for what he/she is saying and doing. We consider Alumni Network as Network of new ideas and new visions about future of our country and our people. We are all different, but we are all united in our will to do our best for future of Azerbaijan .. Alumni People Our Alumni members have studied in the best Universities of France, UK , Hungary , Germany , USA , Russia , Turkey , and other countries. They are working now for the government, NGO's, international organizations and private companies in Azerbaijan and have modern knowledge and experience which they would like to share with the students and with the broader public in general. We want to offer the Azerbaijani society and international community to use our network and to benefit from the knowledge and capacities which are mobilized in our network. We do not have any formal membership. Everyone defines its role in our network by him/herself and is absolutely free to contribute and to use this network respecting our main 6 principles. Events We organize our events on flexible, mobile and interactive basis. We do not make propaganda of one single idea. We try to invite interesting people with different ideas, point of views so we can have several perspectives on the same issue. If participants of our events could enhance their knowledge about different positions on the discussed issues at the end, then we are satisfied with our job. Alumni members and students usually use their own network and resources to find the venue and the experts for our interactive public lectures, forums, seminars, trainings, conferences, parties, exhibitions, concerts and many other events.
